The Nashville Arsenal, and the 6th Mississippi, were among the first recipients of imported British military goods.  The Nashville Arsenal files shows the accoutrements to have been white buff leather Line equipment.  Made by Merrick's Custom Leather, this Ball Bag is copied from an original, made with real buff leather, and includes custom made finials.  Intended to be worn on the belt, the Ball Bag carried ten loose cartridges after a pack was removed from the cartridge box and unwrapped and was a departure from the typical American-style accoutrements.  In addition, the Ball Bag contained a small pouch with an oil bottle.  An excellent reproduction of the oil bottle is available as an add on option.
