Images of members of the Texas Brigade in 1862 show typical frame buckle belts to have been particuarly common in the unit.  One image even shows a "gutter back" frame buckle having been sewn in place backwards with the unique back facing outwards--a feature seen in numerous other images of Confederate soldiers.  This belt will include a buckle by Hanover Brass and leather done by Merrick's Custom Leather, and yes, the frame will be sewn on with the back facing out.
