The RIchmond Clothing Bureau issued large numbers of blue grey wool caps to soldiers in the ANV in the last year of the war.  Surviving examples are very consistent in pattern, materials, and construction, with machine bound oilcloth covered brims, oilcloth sweatband, oilcloth chinstrap, and osnaburg lining.  Most vendors use wonky patterns that don't match what Richmond used, and can't do a proper machined brim binding, but our Group Buys caps for The Final Campaign will be made by Conor Timoney and will be an exact match to the originals.
