The halter included as part of a set of artillery harness was made with a variety of cast buckles and forged squares, and has usually been reproduced incorrectly by the few people who have attempted making them. In an effort to improve our artillery impression overall, and replace broken pieces, Merrick’s Custom Leather will be reproducing these and other individual pieces of harness. The halters will be made with custom hardware to match the originals exactly, and will include the artillery-specific style of leather hitching strap.
