Ditch the New York coverlets, 20th century surplus blankets, and other weirdo blankets that get used at events and have what most Confederate soldiers did—a government-issued blanket. We've got two options for you, both woven as a joint project between Tart and Family Heirloom Weavers, and both are spot on reproductions of original CS blankets.  Neither of them are huge and heavy--they're each a little over 3 pounds--but they make a great second blanket for Winter Quarters (which is appropriate and recommended) or a perfect blanket to carry on campaign in warmer weather.
