Many of the reproduction boxes sold to the living history community bear little resemblance to the originals they are intended to mimic. The sizes are wrong or made to fit modern products, the wood is not planed down to the appropriate thickness, and the stencils are poor digital creations rather than direct copies of the original stencil. Not so with these boxes made by Austin Fox. These are copied right from the originals, the stencils are near perfect matches, and rather than having a faux lid are made to appear as if they have been opened, some with partial broken lids and all complete with nail holes.
Recovered from the 1856 wreck of the Arabia, this imported French cognac box held one dozen tall "champagne" style bottles of cognac.
Shipping is not available for any boxes. All will be delivered at check in at a future Liberty Rifles event.
