Most of the hames available today are original Civil War pieces.  Most were reworked later in the 19th century, and many again by various makers for reenactors more recently.  Very few were ever remade into a proper Civil War configuration, with proper leather, and many never had the missing chain and toggle at the hames clasp replaced.  We'll clean and enamel your hames if needed, put a newly made set of chain and toggle on, stitch on leather safes with the undyed flesh side partially exposed, and make a new set of heavy duty stitched and riveted trace tugs.  Sets of Hames Straps and Trussing Straps are available separately.
