Made by Brad Willingham, this knapsack is of the typical design made throughout the Confederacy for nearly the entirety of the war--a cloth single bag that was either painted, partially painted, or unpainted, with a painted cloth flap, and a set of straps or "harness" that was not integral to the construction of the knapsack. This knapsack not only is the best option for Franklin, but is ideal for virtually any Confederate impression for which a knapsack is appropriate.
