The common Confederate-made halter intended for wagon mules found its way onto artillery horses during the last half of the war, and receipts from the batteries in 2nd Battalion show they were very common among the horses present in Dalton.  If you're bringing a team, or are portraying an enlistedman with a saddle horse, these halters are the ideal choice.  Made from hemp rope these halters come with a lead line included.
